I believe, as a professional mathematician, that mathematics can be done better when you work with other people. It can get unnecessarily boring, confusing and difficult when you try to work out everything on your own. Add to this the online nature of this course and it becomes very easy to get lost. As a result, I encourage my students to work on the course material as a group by setting up a weekly meeting time.
